Manuscript Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in TEMBA HOUSE PRESS. Temba House is a small publishing house primarily interested in poetry, creative non-fiction, and memoir that addresses urban living and the human condition. Operating in the capacity of publishers since 1998, we seek talented writers with a unique literary vision. Please call us about other literary projects. We are open to new ideas.

TEMBA HOUSE welcomes the opportunity to view solicited manuscripts. When submitting manuscripts, please adhere to the following guidelines.

Manuscripts must:

1. Be at least fifty pages to be considered
2. Be typed and double-spaced
3. Not include more than one poem on a page
4. Be proofread for typographical and grammatical errors
5. Send only copies of any related artwork, photographs or layout boards
6. Send only copies of any other manuscripts-related materials
7. Keep all originals
